Wow! We had a great year at the Dutton Pool this summer. We would like to extend our sincerest thanks to everyone who made this summer exceptional. We would like to start with the Fun Day committee and all those who participated in Fun Day by donating their time, talent, or money.

The Dutton Pool would not be possible without everyone who came out to support our fundraising efforts through Fun Day. We would like to thank all the patrons from Dutton and surrounding communities who supported the pool by purchasing season passes, single admissions, pool parties, and swim lessons.

We had 7 families/businesses support the pool through a $100.00 donation that offered free swimming to all. Additionally, I would also like to extend thank you’s to all those, including the town office, who have donated their time and talents to help with cement work, boiler room issues and general maintenance at the pool. These breakdowns require skilled workers and we are forever grateful. Furthermore, we would like to thank our patrons for donations of water, goodies for the lifeguards, sunscreen, popsicles, coffee, and coffee gift cards. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.

Lastly, I would like to thank my lifeguards who work tirelessly to maintain a clean and safe environment for our communities. This summer had been great fun and much of that comes from all of you.

The pool is a vital part of our community. The pool, along with the Town of Dutton, had the opportunity to host 2143 people in our pool. The pool was open 61 days this summer. The lifeguards taught swim lessons to 76 children from Dutton, Power, Helena, Sun Prairie, Simms, and Great Falls. The pool employed 4 lifeguards.

Through all these accomplishments, the pool is providing Dutton and surrounding communities with a safe, fun, recreational amenity. Spending time at the pool teaches children how to be safe in the water and facilitates a love of water and exercise. In addition, it demonstrates work ethic, responsibility, and leadership in the 4 lifeguards that it employs.

The Dutton American Legion Auxiliary will soon be selling chances on a queen-sized quilt to be drawn for the end of May. This is a fundraiser for their many programs which include Veterans, Children and Youth, Community Service, Americanism and many more. Tickets are $5.00 each or 5 for $20.00 and can be purchased from any auxiliary member.
