Today’s political climate is a sign of a completely divided country. The split between Democrats and Republicans, largely fueled by the media, continues to rip our country apart. There is no better example of that than the 2020 presidential race. The Republicans, backing the incumbent president, have their work cut out for them. Focus on the economy’s success, and downplay any other concerns. Democrats on the other hand, are struggling to figure out what they need to focus on. Radicalism has taken over a large portion of the Democratic party. Bernie Sanders is one of the frontrunners for the presidential ticket, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is reportedly “running congress”, and only two Democratic candidates are not supporting the Green New Deal. The Green New Deal being a bill that would have turned America into a Communist country, under the guise of climate-change concerns. lt is obvious, in all of this chaos, that a moderate level-headed Democrat would dominate the polls. Joe Biden seemed to be the man for the job, but it wasn’t long before his true colors were put on display.

Joe Biden’s presidential campaign opened on a high note. ln his declaration video, Biden praised the constitution. He talked about feeling a need to restore this country to normalcy. The phrase “Make America Great Again” would have fit right in with this video. Everyone loved it.

With this moderate message, Biden has lead the polls since the video’s release. But, this moderate attitude would not last for long. That is because Joe Biden is not a strong presidential candidate. Joe Biden is not a man who votes on what he believes. Joe Biden is a man who will vote for what will win. ln 1993, Joe Biden voted against any homosexuals serving in the United States military. However in 2012, Biden flipped his position entirely and said that every married person, and unmarried, deserves the same civil rights and liberties. For 43 years Joe Biden supported the Hyde Amendment, a law banning public funding going towards abortions. A few days ago, the liberal media got angry at Joe. Now he is against the Hyde Amendment. ln 2006 Joe Biden voted for the Secure Fence Act. An act that authorized construction of 700 miles of fence along the US-Mexico border. lt seemed clear that he felt a need to help secure our border from illegal immigration. Joe Biden now believes that all illegal immigrants are “already Americans”. The question isn’t whether or not Biden believes any of this, he clearly doesn’t.

The question is: Will the real Biden ever stand up for what he actually believes? Looking at his record, I think it is fair to say that he won’t. Joe Biden is the type of guy who will do what’s needed in order to win votes, regardless of whether he feels it’s right or wrong and because of this, would not be a good president. Joe Biden is easily pushed around by those who counsel him as well as the media. The best person to vote for in 2020 is a person who believes the same things you do, someone who has the same morals as you do. What are Joe Biden’s morals, does he have any?

The answer as of today, seems to be no.
