The Sun Times has included a guide (see link for PDF file) for those wanting to view the upcoming solar eclipse.

In our area, the eclipse will have a magnitude of .904 and will have an “obscuration” of 88.5 per cent.

By our calculations, at Fairfield, the eclipse will begin August 21, 2017 at 10:18 a.m. and will reach maximum at 11:34 a.m. The eclipse will end at 12:55 p.m.
