Eddie Joe Adamson (June 20, 1938-May 20, 2019) It is with heavy hearts that we share that our Father and Brother passed away in Boise, Idaho after undergoing several surgeries.
The oldest of Joe and Rula Adamson, he spent his youth growing up on the family farm 7 miles west of Fairfield, Montana. Eddie Joe and Doris rode their horses and chased cows. He also loved riding his motorcycle.
Eddie Joe and Doris enjoyed Saturday night dances at the Legion Hall in Fairfield. He loved playing football. Eddie Joe graduated from Fairfield High School in 1956.
Eddie Joe was a professional long-haul truck driver for over 26 years out of Salt Lake City, Utah, for Latham Brothers. He earned many awards, including Safety and Truck Driver of the Year, as well as National Awards. Together with his wife Liddy, they owned their own trucking company for 5 years in Meridian, Idaho.
They retired to Richland, Oregon. Eddie Joe has devoted the rest of his life serving others in their community. He was a driver for the volunteer ambulance crew, managed the Grange Meals on Wheels and always lent a helping hand. He was to be honored in June for all of his many years of service.
Eddie Joe leaves behind his wife, Liddy, sons, Steve (Shirley) of Utah, and Ed (Jan) of Fairfield, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and his nieces and nephews. Brother, Monte (Janet ) and sister Doris, of Fairfield and sister Arlene (Lloyd) of Augusta and his many lifelong friends.
