The Power Dutton Brady Titans beat the Geraldine-Highwood Rivals 61-26 on Saturday, October 12th.

The win clinched the Northern “A” sub-division for the Titans, who finished with a 6-0 overall record, and 3-0 sub-division record.

“It’s a great feeling winning our subdivision and being 6-0,” said Senior Jackson Widhalm. “It was great beating  the Rivals especially because they had beaten us the last two years.”

The Titans will take on Big Sandy in the Northern Conference Championship game on October 26th in Dutton, with a 1 PM kick-off.

High School Volleyball

Power Pirate Volleyball topped the number -one ranked Simms Tigers in an exciting five games (3-2) on Friday, October 11th. The Tigers came into the game unbeaten in the 2019 season.

The Pirates then followed that up on Saturday, October 12th, as they swept the Dutton-Brady Diamondbacks in three straight games (3-0).

“Simms was a huge win for us,” said Head Coach Carly Beck. “We truly played as a team and each person did the job they needed to on the court.”

Power went on to top Heart Butte 3-0 on 10/15 in Power.

Junior High Volleyball

Power Junior High Volleyball finished its 2019 campaign with a third-place finish at the Northern 6C Conference Tournament in Valier.

“We were reaching for first, but due to some unforeseen events were only able to place third and I feel blessed to have our team landing in the top three,” said Head Coach Chelsea Johnson.  “It was my hope all along that these young ladies would grow in their skill and have fun doing it. In my eyes, this is a giant win and I am so proud of the hard work these ladies did on and off the court.”

The Pirates finished the season with an 8-2 regular-season conference record.
