WHITEFISH – After a hot shooting performance in the University of Providence women's basketball team's season opener against Mount Royal, the Frontier Conference named senior guard Jenna Randich the Player of the Week.

Randich scored 22 points, had four steals and dropped three assists in the Argos 103-60 victory over the Cougars on Friday. She shot 8 of 10 from the field, including 5 for 7 from beyond the arc.

"It's exciting," Randich said. "I really wasn't expecting this, especially after my first game back."

This was the first game that Randich has played in 10 months. She missed a majority of last season when she tore her ACL during practice in December.

"It makes me feel that everything I did this summer and the past year has been worth it," she said. "I'm happy that I was able to find a groove and I was able to feel how it was like to be on the court again with my team again. It was awesome."

The Argos will take the floor again against Salish Kootenai on Oct. 28 at 12 p.m.
