Completions

Kraken Operating, LLC filed completion reports for four Richland County Wells.

The Dagney 33-21 #3H is located at NW NE 4-25N-59E (452 FNL/2322 FEL) with a Bottom Hole Location (BHL) of 26,243 feet at NW NE 21-26N-59E (245 FNL/1876 FEL). Producing from the Bakken Formation, the well reported an IP (Initial Production) of 1,549 Barrels of Oil Per Day (BOPD), 3,347 Thousand Cubic Feet of Gas Per Day (MCFPD) and 3,347 Barrels of Water Per Day (BWPD).

The Dagney 33-21 #4H has an SHL at NW NE 4-25N-59E (452 FNL/2289 FEL) and a BHL of 26,430 feet at NE NE 21-26N-59E (250 FNL/550 FEL). This well reported an IP of 1m520 BOPD, 1,090 MCFD and 2,958 BWPD.

The Rowin 17-5 #2H has an SHL at NE NW 20-26N-59E (325 FNL/2270 FWL) and two laterals with BHL: 14,588 feet at NW NW 17-26N-59E (1175 FNL/626 FWL) and 26,120 feet at NW NW 5-26N-59E (228 FNL/605 FWL). This well reported an IP of 1,680 BOPD, 1,239 MCFPD and 3,601 BWPD.

The Rowin 17-5 #3H has an SHL at NE NW 20-26N-59E (325 FNL/2303 FWL) and a BHL of 24,760 feet at SE NW 5-26N-59E (1467 FNL/1904 FWL) Bakken. The IP came in at 1,780 BOPD, 1,324 MCFPD and 3,019 BWPD.

The Rowin 17-5 #4H has an SHL at NE NW 20-26N-59E (325 FNL/2336 FWL) and an SHL of 27,143 feet at 5-26N-59E (233 FNL/1167 FEL). The IP came in at 1,614 BOPD, 1,258 MCFPD and 3,203 BWPD.

All of the completed wells tap into the Bakken Formation.

In Roosevelt County, TSAVOIL, LLC filed a completion report for the Simmons 21-23. The Lodgepole Formation horizontal well has an SHL at NE SW 21-29N-50E (2289 FSL/2420 FWL) and two laterals with  Bottom Hole Locations (BHL): one at 7,995 feet, located at SW NE 21-29N-50E (1672 FSL/1793 FWL); another at 10,804 feet located at NE SE 20-29N-50E (2566 FSL/1263 FEL).

New Locations

In Richland County, a drilling permit was issued to Petro-Hunt, LLC for the State 23-55-36B-1. The Surface Hole Location (SHL) is NE NW 36-23N-55E (845 FNL/2610 FWL). The Red River Formation is the target.

In Dawson County, two permits were issued to Petro-Hunt, LLC for Red River Formation wells.

The Nissley Farms 18-54- 14A-4-1 has an SHL at SE NE 14-18N-54E (1518 FNL/721 FEL) and a PBHL of 11,202 feet at SE NE 14-18N-54E (1350 FNL/660 FEL). The Hostetler 20-54- 21A-4-1 has an SHL at SE NE 21-20N-54E (1467 FNL/463 FEL) and a PBHL of 11,433 feet at SE NE 21-20N-54E (1465 FNL/840 FEL).

Expired Permits

In Richland County, seven permits for wells expired. Six permits had been issued to Prima Exploration, Inc. The permits are for the following locations: Sundance Kid 4H, with a Surface Hole Location (SHL) at NW NE 13-25N-58E (350 FNL/1750 FEL); Sundance Kid 1H, with an SHL at NW NE 13-25N-58E (350 FNL/1900 FEL); Sundance Kid 2H, with an SHL at NW NE 13-25N-58E (350 FNL/1850 FEL) and Sundance Kid 3H, with an SHL at NW NE 13-25N-58E (350 FNL/1800 FEL).

The seventh permit was issued to Continental Resources Inc. for the Ingersoll 1-34H, with an SHL at SE SW 34-23N-52E (270 FSL/2080 FWL).

In Glacier County, final abandonment procedures were approved for the Suta #10-15, located in the Cut Bank Field of Glacier County at NW SE 15-32N-5W (2096 FSL/2029 FEL). Rock Creek Oil is the listed operator.

In Blaine County, the permit for the East Rabbit Hills 10-8-34N-20E that had been issued to Lonewolf Operating, LLC expired. The well listed an SHL at NW SE 8-34N-20E (1695 FSL/1732 FEL).

In Glacier County, six permits issued to Omimex Canada, Ltd. Expired. All of the well permits were issued in the Reagan Oil Field. The permitted wells were: Blackfeet Tribal 194 8-34-37N-7W, located at SE NE 34-37N-7W (1917 FNL/533 FEL); Blackfeet Tribal 194 2-34-37N-7W, located at NW NE 34-37N-7W (330 FNL/1650 FEL); Blackfeet Tribal 194 1-27-37N-7W, located at NE NE 27-37N-7W (430 FNL/931 FEL); Blackfeet Tribal 194 7-27-37N-7W, located at NE NE 27-37N-7W (580 FNL/931 FEL); Blackfeet Tribal 194 13-23-37N-7W, located at SW SW 23-37N-7W (340 FSL/757 FWL) and Blackfeet Tribal 194 5-26-37N-7W, located at SW NW 26-37N-7W (1855 FNL/475 FWL).

The Reagan Field was discovered in 1941, and it has about 31 producing wells, according to the MBOGC database.

In Fallon County, the permit issued to Denbury Onshore, LLC for the Unit MC43-19NH expired. The location was NE SE 19-7N-60E (1978 FSL/288 FEL).

Abandoned Wells

Final abandonment procedures were approved for the following wells:

In the Cut Bank Field of Glacier County, the SCCBSU 82-13, located at SE SE SE 33-33N-5W (330 FSL/330 FEL). Synergy Offshore LLC is the operator.

In Toole County, a wildcat well, the #1 Simmes Ranch 42-4, located at SE NE 4-36N-3W (1739 FNL/265 FEL). True Oil LLC is listed as operator.

In the North Bainville Field on Roosevelt County, the Baker Federal 9-9, located at SHL: NE SE 9-28N-58E (2346 FSL/660 FEL). White Rock Oil & Gas, LLC is listed as operator.

The Baker Federal was drilled in 1997 on tribal land by Panterra Petroleum out of Billings. During the first 25 days of production, the well produced 7,068 barrels of oil; 3,000,000 cubic feet of gas.

In Toole County, True Oil LLC’s #1 Simmes Ranch 42-4, located at SE NE 4-36N-3W (1739 FNL/265 FEL) was approved for final abandonment. The well was drilled in 2019, and shows no production, according to the Montana Board of Oil and Gas Conservation database.

Three wells, listing Iofina Natural Gas, Inc. as the operator, were approved for abandonment: The State 1-36-25-15, located in Chouteau County at SE NW 36-25N-15E (1455 FNL/1473 FWL); the Johnson 1-10-33-12, located in Hill County at NE SE 10-33N-12E (1630 FSL/990 FEL) and, also in Hill County, the Wall 2-33-35-12, located at NE SW 33-35N-12E (1990 FSL/1990 FWL).

In Big Horn County, final abandonment procedures were approved for 47 wells operated by Highline Exploration, Inc. The first well listed is a wildcat, the Christensen Land 2-35, located at SE SE 35-1S-32E (990 FSL/990 FEL). The remaining wells were located in the Toluca Field.

In Richland County, two Slawson Exploration Company Inc. wells were approved for final abandonment. The Rover 1-20H location was at NW NW 20-23N-53E (300 FNL/660 FWL) and the location of the Scavenger 1-28H was NE NE 28-24N-52E (280 FNL/350 FEL).

In Toole County, abandonment was approved for the Young Sanders E&P, LLC’s State 16-16, located at SE SE 16-35N-1E (1200 FSL/1000 FEL) in the Short Creek Field. This well was drilled in 2007 by Targe Energy Exploration and Production, LLC of Denver, Colorado. The well record indicates no production from the targeted zone, the Bow Island Formation.

Re-Entry of Plugged Wells

Karsted Operating, LLC was approved to re-enter the Wilcoxon 19-2, located at SW NW 19-34N-46E (2310 FNL/1065 FWL), in the Hell Coulee Oil Field in Daniels County. The ren-entry will target the Ratcliffe Formation at a proposed depth of 6,025 feet.

The Wilcoxon was first drilled in 1994 and recorded production until early 1996. At that time, production was out of the Madison Formation. Abandonment of the well was approved in May of 2001.

In the Katy Lake Field of Sheridan County, Rim Operating, Inc. has been greenlighted to re-enter the Union Mortgage 1-29. The re-entry will have an SHL at NE SE 29-32N-58E (1373 FSL/990 FEL) and a Probable Bottom Hole Location (PBHL) of 11,520 feet at NE SE 29-32N-58E (1982 FSL/1176 FEL). The well will target the Red River Formation. The Union Mortgage was originally drilled in 1983, by Donald C. Slawson of Denver, Colorado and produced from the Red River Formation until 1987. Abandonment was approved in June, 1991.

Re-Issued Locations

Re-Issued Location permits were approved for nine wells in Richland County. All listed the Bakken Formation as the target.

Two of the re-issued permits went to Enerplus Resources USA Corporation for the Porky-Harold 9-13-HSU, with an SHL at SW SW 9-24N-54E (275 FSL/400 FWL) and a PBHL of 15,925 feet at NE 5-24N-54E (671 FNL/1001 FEL) and the Stockade-Calesto 33-3-HSU, with an SHL at NE NW 33-25N-54E (383 FNL/1863 FWL) and a PBHL of 16,073 feet at SE SE 2-24N-54E (670 FSL/670 FEL).

Two re-issued permits went to Sinclair Oil & Gas Company for the Ralston 2-22H, with an SHL at SE SE 22-27N-53E (250 FSL/400 FEL) and a PBHL of 18,849 feet at NE NE 15-27N-53E (210 FNL/510 FEL), and the Schmitz 2-26H, with an SHL at SW SE 26-27N-53E (300 FSL/1750 FEL) and a PBHL of 18,987 feet at NW NE 23-27N-53E (210 FNL/2600 FEL).

One permit was re-issued to Prima Exploration, Inc. for the Butch Cassidy 1H, with an SHL at NW NE 18-25N-59E (325 FNL/2010 FEL) and a PBHL of 20,779 feet at SW SW 19-25N-59E (200 FSL/500 FWL).

Rounding out the re-issued permits for the period were four that went to Kraken Operating, LLC covering four locations:

The Marvin 2-14 #1H, with an SHL at SW SW 33-25N-59E (403 FSL/1304 FWL) and a PBHL of 22,703 feet at SW SW 14-24N-59E (205 FSL/550 FWL); the Marvin 2-14 #2H with an SHL at SE SW 33-25N-59E (403 FSL/1338 FWL) and a PBHL of 22,529 feet at SE SW 14-24N-59E (205 FSL/1983 FWL); the Marvin 2-14 #3H, with an SHL at SE SW 33-25N-59E (403 FSL/1338 FEL) and a PBHL of 22,543 feet at SW SE 14-24N-59E (205 FNL/1943 FEL) and the Marvin 2-14 #4H with an SHL at SE SW 33-25N-59E (403 FSL/1403 FWL) and a PBHL of 22,726 feet at SE SE 14-24N-59E (205 FSL/550 FEL).
